His product lines available at his website include several media (books, DVDs, music CDs, videotapes and software), apparel, baby products, consumer electronics, beauty products, gourmet food, groceries, health and personal-care items, industrial & scientific supplies, kitchen items, jewelry, watches, lawn and garden items, musical instruments, sporting goods, tools, automotive items and toys & games.

History

In 2008, Amazon released an early mobile-optimized shopping experience and apps for some mobile platforms (like BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and early Android devices). It wasn't yet as fully featured or widely adopted as the later versions.

Amazon launched the modern, full-featured Amazon Shopping app for iOS and Android smartphones in 2011, allowing users to browse products, read reviews, and purchase directly from their smartphones and tablets. The app aimed to replicate the web experience on mobile devices, emphasizing convenience for on-the-go shopping.

From 2012 to 2014, Amazon Shopping got his features expanded. Now, users can scan product barcodes or take photos to find items, 1-click purchase, and have wishlists and gift registries (such as baby/wedding).

In December 2014, Prime Now was integrated into Amazon's mobile ecosystem, with one-hour/ultra-fast delivery.

In 2020, Amazon Shopping app adopted a new app logo, which is a beige background with a black Amazon smile and a piece of blue tape on top, resembling an Amazon box. The blue tape had triangular edges to make it look ripped, but it had to be changed to a smooth fold in the same year because some people thought it looked like Adolf Hitler's mustache.
