This article is about the ideology. For the religion itself, see Catholicism.

Catholic Theocracy, sometimes shortened to CathTheo, is an authoritarian, culturally right, and economically center to center-left ideology inhabiting the upper center political compass. CathTheo seeks to have the values of the Catholic faith upheld as the law and to have a state very closely tied to the Catholic Church.

History

The concept of a Catholic theocracy has its roots in the early formation of the Church. After the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th century, the Catholic Church emerged as one of the most powerful institutions in Europe, assuming not only spiritual authority but also significant political influence. The first true Catholic theocracy is often traced to the Papal States, established in the 8th century when Pope Stephen II sought protection from the Lombards and received land from the Frankish king Pepin the Short. This territory, later expanded by Pepin's son Charlemagne, became the Papal States, which were governed directly by the pope until the 19th century.

Beliefs

Catholic Theocracy believes that church and state are inseparable and that the Head of the Catholic Church (Pope) should also act as the Head of State.

Catholic Theocracy considered the Jewish people as a collective responsible for the killing of Christ. He was also anti-Judaist, [[Judaismjj was considered a null religion and several attempts for conversion into Catholicism were made. All that changed after CVII in 1965.

Mixtum

  • Crusadism - As of now, I can't directly call out support for you, I am sorry.
  • Orthodox Theocracy - You reject the filioque and papal supremacy and are therefore a heretic but we both hate Protestantism and love tradition.
  • Bonapartism - Thank you for restoring me in France, but did you have to invade the Papal States? Also did you just crown yourself? You can't do that!
  • Jewish Theocracy - I aided your escape in WW2, but I will not recant my contempt for your religious beliefs.
  • Capitalism - I condemn you in Rerum Novarum.

Heretic

  • Protestant Theocracy - Why do you even keep existing after I stopped selling indulgences?
    • You seriously think this was only about indulgences?
  • Lutheran Theocracy - You’re the one responsible for this mess! Stop criticizing me!
  • Islamic Theocracy - Jerusalem is mine! *Starts another crusade*
  • Kleptocracy - On top of commandment #7, the HRE attempted to weaken me via simony, and corruption inside me (which I later got rid of) caused them to show up.
  • Marxism-Leninism - You imprison my followers in prison labor camps! Remove! Burn in hell!
  • Jacobinism - I will never forgive you for defacing Notre Dame. Plus you promote this "supreme being" idolatry. Complete nonsense.
  • Eugenicism - Absolute abomination. While I am fine with the teaching of genetics and evolution (except for my more traditionalist followers), you literally advocate the idea of playing God!
  • State Shintō - Amakusa Shirō's stuggle will not be forgotten.
  • LGBTQ+ - Your actions are intrinsically disordered.
