State of Deseret was a Mormon territory proposed to be a US state. He is the predecessor of Utah. Promoted by Mormon leaders and led by official church prophet Brigham Young, Utah became the a paradise for Mormons around the continent to settle. The Deseret State operated for nearly two years but was never recognized by the USA government.

The name "Deseret" comes from the word for "honeybee" in the Book of Mormon.

1. Draw a ball.
2. Divide the ball into 12 horizontal stripes: 6 blue, and 6 white.
3. Add a white canton to the top left.
4. In the canton, draw 12 small blue 5-pointed stars positioned in a circle.
5. In the circle of the stars, draw a bigger blue star.
6. Add eyes and done!
