The country's territory comprises one main island, 63 satellite islands and islets, and one outlying islet. He is depicted as a triangle for unknown reasons, but there are several theories.

Most of his population is ethnically Chinese (76%). His national day is August 9.

Malaysia kicked Singapore out because he was afraid that Singapore was working with the Chinese Communist Party, despite Singapore saying that he hates the communist. This assumption was not without reason though, as the CCP at that time was trying to export violent communist revolution to Southeast Asia, primarily through oversees Chinese people. And, Malaysia was imposing a racist law called the “Bumiputera” that favored native Malays over Chinese, which further caused riots in 1964, and is a contributing factor to the kick of Singapore in 1965.
