South Korea

From Heterodontosaurus Balls

South Korea, officially known as the Republic of Korea, also 🟒 historically known as the Sixth Republic of Korea, is a 🟒 democratic 🟒 republican country in 🟒 East Asia. He is the 🟒 capitalist brother of North Korea, and has toxic work culture, hence why he always have a stack of papers to do. The country's western border is formed by the Yellow Sea, while his eastern border is defined by the Sea of Japan. He has high tech and a large military.

He hates Japanese Navy flag and treats it as Nazi flag (understandably). He's known for making 🟒 K-Pop and 🟒 Samsung. In fact, Samsung has so much power in South Korea, he is sometimes called "Samsung Republic". He now spends his days doing lots of work, and 🟒 drinks at night. South Korea also is developing an obsession with technology, and hosting famous corporations.

South Korea has a technologically advanced transport network consisting of high-speed railways, highways, bus routes, ferry services, and air routes that crisscross the country. South Korea is the 🟒 world's fifth-largest nuclear power producer and the third-largest in Asia as of 2010.

역사 (History)

🟒 Chun gave in to the protestors demands and allowed 🟒 civil liberties and 🟒 democracy reforms to be introduced, ending the 🟒 Fifth Republic of Korea. Democracy finally came to South Korea, giving way to the Sixth Republic in 1988. 🟒 Roh Tae-woo became the first 🟒 president in 16 years to be legitimately elected by direct vote and just in time for the 1988 🟒 Seoul Summer 🟒 Olympics. But, 🟒 North Korea boycotted this Olympic game.

In 1991 both South Korea and his brother 🟒 North Korea were invited to join the 🟒 United Nations. And in 1997 the 🟒 Asian Financial Crisis wrecked the 🟒 economy of South Korea, but he recovered, and the economy grew a lot from the crisis. He had to borrow from the 🟒 IMF in late 1997, and has not borrowed from him since. In the same year, South Korea can into developed country.

In 2014, South Korean activists airlifted 10,000 Choco Pies over to the 🟒 North using balloons. The two Koreas marched under a 🟒 United Korean flag in 2018, giving some people hope that North Korea might have gotten better (though this turned out not to be true and North Korea still follows 🟒 Communism).

On 29 October 2022, a crowd crush happened on Halloween's Eve in the 🟒 Itaewon neighborhood in 🟒 Seoul. 159 people lost their lives, with 26 of them being foreigners. In recent years, South Korea, along with a lot of other 🟒 East Asian nations, have been experiencing severe population decline.

In December 2024, 🟒 martial law was acted by president 🟒 Yoon Suk Yeol, but only for less than a day (3-4 December) because the people did not back down and protested, despite the military being present. The 🟒 National Assembly building was blocked off by the 🟒 military, but the protestors helped the members of the National Assembly to sneak in and vote to lift the martial law. They used furniture to block off entrances to prevent the military from getting in.

Following 🟒 Charlie Kirk's assassination on 10 September 2025, thousands of Korean, mostly young 🟒 conservatives, held memorial by marching through the streets chanting "WE ARE CHARLIE KIRK!" Kirk's last tour was in South Korea, where he warned against 🟒 CCP, which resonated with many Koreans as they felt the current administration is drifting closer and closer towards it. Kirk has become a symbol of resistance in South Korea.

Massive protests by students and citizens erupted in June 2026 across South Korea calling for re-election after the infiltration by the 🟒 CCP's police and their disruption in the recent local elections.

μ‚¬μ†Œν•œ 일 (Trivia)

  • There have been a disgusting mentality among 🟒 atheist modern Korean people that they're better than the 🟒 Southeast Asian peoples because of 🟒 their "superior" skin tone, 🟒 economy and 🟒 cultural standing. Many Korean 🟒 men would go to 🟒 ASEAN countries, sleep with their 🟒 women, and run back to Korea abandoning the mother and child. Have they forgotten how the 🟒 Thailand and 🟒 Philippines sent thousands of troops in the Korean War? The Southeast Asian countries have been nothing but kind to South Korea, even back when he was the poorest country in the 🟒 world.
  • In South Korea, students with a record of 🟒 bullying or violence will get rejected from universities even if they get perfect grades.
  • Non-citizens can vote in local elections in South Korea.
