Schwabism, also known as WEFism, is the ideals, ideology and policies of the 🟢 neoliberal and 🟢 oligarchal founder of the 🟢 World Economic Forum, Klaus Schwab. Schwabism wants a 🟢 corporate dominated world that pursues 🟢 green policies by using 🟢 authoritarian methods. Since the COVID pandemic, he has had huge plans of reorganizing society called "The Great Reset" where people will "own nothing and be happy", including a global ID system to monitor and control everyone and make people eat bugs instead of regular meat.

Schwabism is the closest contender for an 🟢 Illuminati or other types of 🟢 evil 🟢 globalist 🟢 elite that 🟢 conspiracy theories describe. He is also very cryptic and mysterious, speaking 🟢 English with a heavy 🟢 German accent. On the surface he's seen as a friendly and 🟢 progressive businessmen and 🟢 economist who wants to change the 🟢 world for the better by tackling 🟢 climate change and destroying food waste and inequality. However, many others suspect that it's all a façade and Schwabism is only doing this so he can slowly and surely take over the world and 🟢 enslave all of 🟢 humanity, destroying all governments and 🟢 nations so everyone will be at Schwabism's grip.

Schwabism is represented as a School of Thought of 🟢 State Liberalism, and is described as dystopian. Like State Liberalism, he is 🟢 Authoritarian Right but 🟢 Culturally Far-Left.

History

Early Life

Klaus Martin Schwab was born on 30 March 1938. His parents had moved from 🟢 Switzerland to the 🟢 German Third Reich in order for his father to assume the role of director at 🟢 Escher Wyss AG, an industrial company and contractor for the Nazi regime. Despite Schwab's father being a baptized 🟢 Lutheran, Schwab was raised 🟢 Catholic.

Schwab attended first and second grades at a primary school in Switzerland. After World War II, Schwab attended the 🟢 Spohn-Gymnasium in 🟢 Ravensburg until 1957. In 1961, he graduated as a mechanical engineer from the 🟢 Swiss Federal Institute of Technology with a doctorate in engineering. He also earned a doctorate in 🟢 economics from the 🟢 University of Fribourg, and a Master in Public Administration degree from the 🟢 Harvard Kennedy School. While attending Harvard, Schwab was mentored by 🟢 Henry Kissinger. Kissinger's thinking about geopolitics, 🟢 elite leadership networks, and cooperation between governments and business strongly influenced Schwab's later ideas.

Career

Klaus Schwab founded the 🟢 World Economic Forum in 1971, initially named the European Management Forum. He invited ~450 🟢 European executives to 🟢 Davos to learn 🟢 American management methods. Also in 1971, he published Moderne Unternehmensführung im Maschinenbau (Modern Business Management in Mechanical Engineering). This book already introduced a key concept later central to Schwabism: 🟢 stakeholder management.

Schwab was professor of business policy at the 🟢 University of Geneva from 1972 to 2003, and since then has been an honorary professor there. This gave him a platform to connect academia, 🟢 corporations, and governments. By 1974, governments are joining Davos and 🟢 political leaders began attending the meetings. The forum gradually shifted from a business conference to a global policy platform. In 1976, Schwab introduced "1,000 leading companies" as WEF members with his global corporate membership system, creating a permanent network of multinational corporations influencing global discussions. Schwab's power is growing.

In 1987, the European Management Forum was officially renamed into the World Economic Forum (WEF). Goals expanded to include international things such as geopolitics and other global policies. Schwab's Davos meetings became a major gathering of heads of state, CEOs, 🟢 central bankers, and academics.

In 1988, Schwab's forum helped ease tensions between 🟢 Greece and 🟢 Turkey. This increased WEF's reputation as a diplomatic platform.

Together with his wife 🟢 Hilde Schwab, Klaus founded the 🟢 Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship in 1994. Schwab won the Present – Leadership: Changing our World award from the 🟢 Dan David awards in 2004 and received 1 million dollars, using this moneyto found 🟢 Young Global Leaders in the same year.

The 🟢 Fourth Industrial Revolution was the subject of a book Schwab wrote in 2016, thus he is credited with popularizing the term that same year. Schwab is saying that new technologies will merge digital systems, biology, artificial intelligence, robotics, etc., and said that governments and corporations must "guide" the transformation responsibly.

The 🟢 Coronavirus pandemic hit the 🟢 globe in 2020. Klaus Schwab saw this as a great opportunity and proposed a "Great Reset" for the world's systems and functions, seeking to rebuild the global economy around "sustainability", digital transformation and 🟢 stakeholder capitalism. The following years, Davos pumped out agenda after agenda heavily promoting 🟢 technological transcendence, so-called "🟢 sustainablity", and 🟢 social progress through 🟢 authoritarian means.

Klaus Schwab stepped down as the leader of the WEF in April 2025, after more than 50 years leading the WEF. His departure marked the end of one of the longest leadership tenures in global institutions.

It's 2099. Klaus Schwab, dressed in his carbon-neutral suit, overlooks the world in ruins. His eyes flicker with data streams. His hands bear the scars of a thousand failed utopias.

Corporate Centric World

Schwabism believes that traditional 🟢 nation-states are outdated and should hand over their power to 🟢 multinational 🟢 corporations. After the Great Reset, the 🟢 world will be ruled by a polite, smiling cartel of 🟢 megacorporations, 🟢 government puppets, and carefully selected NGOs. No more 🟢 democracy, just efficient, unelected, well-funded 🟢 oligarchs all working together to manage society from the top down.

The Great Reset

The Great Reset is Schwab's and the 🟢 WEF's vague big-picture recovery plan for the 🟢 world 🟢 economy and 🟢 society after COVID-19 that will apparently solve many of the problems that currently plague the world. According to Schwabism, COVID-19 presents an excellent opportunity to reset and reshape the world into something that is more aligned with the 2030 🟢 Sustainable Development Goals. Schwabism wants to basically reset how labor is handled using by reskilling and upskilling workers and with 🟢 new technology, also allowing more people to work at home, and more public transport and surveillance systems/catalogs. Schwabism wants a lot of food protection to prevent waste of food and hunger, also to secure the food supply. To achieve this, Schwab wants to replace traditional livestock meat for more "sustainable" and "🟢 environment-friendly" foods. Bugs are apparently the way to secure the food supply, and Schwab wants everyone to eat ze bugs especially by force.

Many see the Great Reset in a more sinister way seeing as a 🟢 corporatocratic dystopia where an extremely 🟢 wealthy 🟢 undemocratic 🟢 elite make decisions for the people without the people's consent. They see the Great Reset as a group of world leaders and rich elites who want to take over the 🟢 economy and the 🟢 world, implementing 🟢 woke policies. There are also 🟢 conspiracy theories that COVID-19 was made up/engineered by a secretive group and the Great Reset will basically 🟢 enslave 🟢 humanity under their control. In this dystopian view of the Great Reset, basically people own nothing and people will be "happy", quoted by Klaus Schwab himself. In this dystopia, everything is 🟢 rented and given to people by drones, people cannot 🟢 own anything. Anything criticizing these policies or elites will be censored on the 🟢 internet through their control of the algorithm. The world elites get to 🟢 decide what is truth and what isn't. Everyone will be forced to eat bugs in order to conserve food and stop food waste while Schwab and the elites eat steak dinner. Similarly, everyone will have many eco-restrictions that limit a person's freedom, while the elites are doing the 🟢 polluting they blame it on the 🟢 people. All of 🟢 media will be controlled by corporate elites and people will be seen nothing as cogs of a machine that serve the global elite while they try to instill 🟢 progressive ideals onto people.

Fourth Industrial Revolution

Klaus Schwab heavily advocates for the 🟢 Fourth Industrial Revolution (Intelligence Age), basically a boom in artificial intelligence, nanotechnologies, 3-D printing, biotechnology, and all the new technology that is coming out making a more interconnected and 🟢 transhumanist world. According to Schwabism, the First Industrial Revolution was by water and steam, the second through electronics, and the third through automation and mass production. Schwabism believes the Fourth Industrial Revolution would basically wipe out any of the problems that plague the current 🟢 world today making every product now a free service due to wiping out costs due to how cheap things are (maybe also along with a 🟢 rent point system), with 🟢 communal living and transport in tightly-knit cities to 🟢 conserve space for nature. Schwabism quoted this as "Welcome to 2030. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better" which the concept already sounds like something from a futuristic dystopia because it is. This alone has generated many conspiracies theories regarding the Great Reset into some dystopian 🟢 totalitarian 🟢 corporatocratic world, especially by 🟢 Right-Wing Populism.
