🟢 Rumia

Rumia is a town located in northern 🟢 Poland, with some 45,000 inhabitants. Together with 🟢 Wejherowo and 🟢 Reda, they forms 🟢 Little Kashubian Tricity. She is also associated with and is the origin place of 🟢 Rumia, a Youkai 🟢 cannibal from the 🟢 Touhou Project video game.

Rumia has railways for transportation.

History

Rumia formed part of 🟢 Poland since the establishment of the state in the 10th century. The village of Rumia (then Rumina) was first mentioned in 1224 when she was awarded by 🟢 Swietopelk II. She was part of Poland until 1309, when 🟢 Teutonic Order came and annexed her.

In 1772 she was annexed by the 🟢 Kingdom of Prussia in the First Partition of 🟢 Poland, and from 1773 she belonged to the newly established province of 🟢 West Prussia until 1871 when she also became part of the unified 🟢 German Empire. In 1905, Rumia (then officially "Rahmel") had 760 inhabitants. 579 of them were 🟢 Germans and 180 were 🟢 Kashubian or 🟢 Polish.

🟢 Germany's defeat in World War I gave Poles hope for the restoration of an 🟢 independent Poland. The Poles established a local Polish library, and on 29 December 1918 the first Polish 🟢 pro-independence rally took place in Rumia.

During the 🟢 German invasion of 🟢 Poland in 1939, which started World War II, Rumia was a site of heavy fighting. She was a flanking position of the main Polish defence line at the Battle of Kępa Oksywska. Two military cemeteries are located in the area.

Circa 2002, when the sixth edition of the 🟢 Touhou Project called The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil was released, Rumia city became associated with 🟢 Rumia youkai. 🟢 Rumia town takes care of her, for example by feeding her 🟢 human flesh, even if the youkai is located in Gensokyo.

On 9 June 2026 it was announced on 🟢 Japanese 🟢 Nintendo Direct that "New Classic" remaster, made by 🟢 Shanghai Alice Reprise which includes 🟢 ZUN and his veteran developers, is going to be released on 9 September this year. It would feature remastered portraits and soundtrack (including 🟢 Rumia's theme).

Transport

Rumia is well connected through a 2-lane highway that leads from 🟢 Wejherowo to 🟢 Gdynia and from there by Circular Highway to 🟢 Gdańsk. There is a plan to extend the Circular from Gdynia to beyond Wejherowo.

The 🟢 Szybka Kolej Miejska (Urban Fast Train) makes two stops in the city, connecting Rumia to Wejherowo, Gdynia, and beyond. The stops are Rumia and Rumia Janowo. There is also network of city buses that also offers connections to Wejherowo and Gdynia.

    • At least I would be called Reisen so it wouldn't be changed in the scale of 🟢 Touhou references.
  • 🟢 Humankind - Your are being a food for 🟢 her.
  • 🟢 Police Statism 🟢 - Why are you trying to arrest us? I am only looking after 🟢 her.
