Alaska is a distant, cold, northern state of USA. She is separated from the mainland by Canada ( Yukon and BC) and is home to many 3balls. To the west, she is close to Russia who was the one that sold her to the US back in the 1800s. She is also the largest US state, and sorta thinks she is better than everybody else despite being a barren wasteland 90% of the time, and that's why she calls the contiguous US the "lower 48".

Alaska's clay has many natural resources and is heavily abundant in oil and tourists and also fishing, from which many monies are made. Billboards are outlawed because they ruin the view, and so is alcohol in some towns, because when you're in the middle of the Arctic and there's no one around except lost tourists, you get kinda lonely.

History

President Dwight D. Eisenhower signed the official proclamation admitting Alaska as a state on 3 January 1959, making Alaska the 49th US state.

Religion

Alaska has a considerable Orthodox minority thanks to Russian colonization in the region. Several Russian missionaries converted many natives to the Orthodox Church, 12-13% of the Alaska identifies as Orthodox.
