Template:CountryInfoIreland, offically the Republic of Ireland, or Eire, is a democratic countryball that takes up most of the island of Ireland in western Europe. He is the 2nd richest country in European Union after Luxembourg and he has the fastest growing economy in European Union.

Ireland is a developed country with a quality of life that ranks amongst the highest in the world.

Stair (History)

From the adoption of the Constitution of Ireland in 1937, which marked the country's transition to a sovereign and independent state, to the formal declaration of the republic in 1949, Ireland solidified its status as a distinct entity separate from the United Kingdom. However, the ensuing decades were marked by economic challenges, particularly in the 1950s and 1960s, leading to high levels of emigration as many sought better prospects abroad.

The late 1960s saw the beginning of the Troubles, a period of ethno-nationalist conflict in Northern Ireland that lasted for about three decades. The Good Friday Agreement of 1998 finally brought an end to this conflict, establishing a power-sharing assembly in Northern Ireland and fostering cross-border cooperation between Ireland and Northern Ireland.

In 1973, Ireland joined the European Economic Community, now the European Union, signaling its commitment to European integration. The following decades witnessed both economic prosperity, particularly during the Celtic Tiger boom of the 2000s, and economic downturn, notably during the global financial crisis of 2008.
