PRC Societal Model is an ideology that represents the general trend of the society of People's Republic of China. Ever since the Communist Party took power, the balance of good and evil was tipped in China as the CCP took the spot of immoralism.

Like the world's many societies, PRC society has fitted into the trend of moral corruption within the past decades, albeit much more severe, especially when taken account of China's long history. Widespread and common problems with modern Chinese society are mainly due to the selfishness and degeneracy ingrained through decades of Party culture. Truly, the Chinese Communist Party has successfully turned an ancient civilization following propriety and respect into a troubled nation plagued by mistrust and indecorum. At the fault of the CCP, China has become a zero-trust society.

The PRC societal mentality can be summed up to this: "if they hit you, you hit them back twice as hard" but on a much more problematic scale. The ultimate goal is to win against other persons at any cost, whether by faking, cheating, scamming, and lying your way through. This is not the norm of other social mentalities around the world. The regime has destroyed the concept of "trust" and "credit" in Chinese society through the campaigns, has propagated a philosophy of Marxist struggle, struggling against man, creature and even infrastructure.

PRC Societal Model not only inherited the essential wickedness of the foreign-born Marxist-Leninist doctrine through Mao, but also skillfully combined all the negative elements built up over thousands of years of Chinese history with the philosophy of struggle and violent revolution propagated by the Communist Party.

Economic inequality is very severe among China's population, with most peasants earning very little. They have poor living conditions and all the big projects are built by underpaid workers and cheap labor that's why they have big cities and a lot of money. This is how the PRC has achieved the well looks on the outside despite having a rotten core. Even if many have grown discontent with the CCP, they do not show it, for one, criticism of the CCP is not allowed, and two, in the short run it is more beneficiary to support it than to oppose it. The mentality is very ingrained among the Chinese. Even when when criticizing the Party, they stand from a point of view in the culture of the Party, therefore is not true criticism.

History

Before Communism, China was a society built upon virtue and the classic idea that good deeds reap good rewards and bad deeds reap bad rewards. Even after the Xinhai Revolution of 1911 and the chaos that followed into the Republic of China era, morals were high, valued, and overall society was at harmony. When the communist seized power, still, in the 1950s and 1960s, the vast majority of the people remained this way, kind, caring, selfless, hardworking. Only a small minority worked and killed for Mao. But after the end of Mao's campaigns to eradicate traditional culture, the morally corrupt minority was left to influence the masses, and after that generation everything got wrecked. The older folk who still had morals and traditions of compassion and empathy have almost all died off. What was left was a group of youngsters who have been brainwashed and have no morals and no empathy for other human beings. These people are the ancestors of today's Chinese society. Mao Zedong has truly transformed it into something horribly unrecognizable.

The shortages created by Mao's disastrous policies, especially the Great Leap Forward and the subsequent Great Famine, caused a sense of always conserving material whenever possible into that generation. Conserving isn't a bad thing, unless it is taken to the extreme. Many old Chinese people who lived through those times go radical when it comes to such matters, even if the measures taken do more harm than good.

Economic reforms by Deng Xiaoping in the 1980s finally got the suffering Chinese people back in touch with money again, but due to decades of Maoism, society plunged into deeper depths of moral bankruptcy. Everybody only cared about money, even the capitalist countries themselves won't swoop to PRC's level. Maoist era stuff aren't profitable to the large western market, so for the sake of money PRC brought back the "traditional Chinese", but it is just an empty shell of the essence. The total destruction of all Chinese traditional culture was too extreme even in the eyes of Deng; why would you destroy it when you can rewrite it to suit your agenda, tie it as part of the regime, and use it to exert influence worldwide? But thus, only the shallow, consumer-friendly surface of Chinese culture was revived. The core, the morals , the essence, never was.

Jiang Zemin came to power in 1989, and was super corrupt. He hoarded billions of dollars and his policies urged everyone else to do the same, making both the rich and the poor fight each other tooth and nail for a bit of cash. Corruption and scandals became widely normalized in every aspect of living, and extremne greed became widespread and ingrained. Unlike most of the rich people in the West who have morals and are decent people, these rich people in China are very selfish, corrupt, and would do anything to get a couple more bucks.

The PRC has always tried his best to monitor and control the entire population. And since Jiang Zemin began establishing the Great Firewall in the late 1990s, it became 100 times easier. Everyone needs a government-approved ID on a phone with government monitoring apps to do most things, such as access healthcare, banknotes, transactions, daily activities, social media, video games, and more. More and more things of people's daily lives are getting tied to the internet system which is controlled by the PRC through the Great Firewall, the end goal is making the people completely reliant on the government and also silencing any information that does not fit PRC's agenda. Many large government-controlled or aligned companies takes over everything.

Beliefs & Practices

PRC Societal Model believes that everyone should only care for themselves, and take advantage of anything possible no matter the harm it causes to others nor how little the gains are compared to it. He also thinks that money is the most important thing in the world. He acts very disrespectful and insufferable, especially when touring foreign countries.

People live in this world, but all kinds of attachments make it hard for the heart to settle. This is especially true in PRC society, where the CCP has, and still is, systematically and insidiously working to corrupt the minds, social civilization, and morals of the Chinese people. It's doing this in a very methodical way. Just look at the people across China today: such a massive population, and nearly everyone's mind is filled with thoughts of getting rich overnight. The evil Party makes people focus all their energy on this, and tells them not to care about what the Party is actually doing behind the scenes. The boiling restlessness in the hearts of the Chinese people can't calm down for even a moment. When the entire population of China is like this, can that really be normal? Everyone knows that in normal countries, people have food and drink, have regular jobs, and that's just part of life. People live normal lives and enjoy the life that comes from simply living. That's how it is for people all over the world—only Chinese people have been manipulated into this frenzied state by the Party.

Overall, it seems like the PRC went straight to modernization and skipped the civilized part. Despite skyscrapers and high-speed trains, the PRC societal psyche still exhibits behavior more in line with a post-tribal egoism rather than anything that could be called civilized. Like most parts of the world, but even more severe: upgraded the tech, downgraded the soul.

Of course, as with all things there are exceptions, there are still some Chinese with good traditional morals, though it's become pretty rare nowadays compared to what people are in the mainstream public.

Bystander Effect

China has a severe case of the bystander effect, and when a person in China is hurt or getting hurt in public, a crowd will surround them but nobody will do anything. There has been instances where someone is getting killed and still no one does thing. This is partly because it is very easy for the news reportings and medias to shift the blame on themselves in case of bribes and misunderstandings, and also partly because everyone just doesn't want to "search for trouble" in their lives and do not want to do extra. We cannot blame all the fault to the bystanders though, because there have been a phenomenon where helpers were sued by the helped for compensation. The Chinese people are often afraid that stepping in to help would result the police charging them with "mutual fight" (互殴) instead of justified defense (正当防卫).

Here are some well-known examples of the victims of the bystander effect from China:

• Wang Yue (王悦): A two year old Chinese girl ran over by a van driver on the afternoon of 13 October 2011. As she lay bleeding and unconscious on the road for more than seven minutes, at least 18 passers-by skirted around her body, ignoring her.
• Brother Clutch Bag (夹包哥): Local celebrity of Songyuan known for dancing in public squares who was stabbed to death while dancing in a square dance event in front of dozens of bystanders, none intervened.

Disrespectfulness

The Chinese are very proud of their 5000 year long history and civilization. But when they leave China, the bad behavior by Chinese tourists often leaves them embarrassed and the outside world dumbfounded. Manny attribute the Chinese tourists' poor manners to the lack of education, worldly experience, or proper upbringing. But that's not the case. Chinese people are not the problem. They are the victims of the regime having systematically destroyed traditional culture and disconnected its people from their cultural roots.

Thus, the West has gotten a horrible picture of Chinese people, especially from the mainland. A Chinese couple once trashed an entire mocha shop just because they were mad. These are not isolated incidents, they happen quite often. They litter everywhere and harass others, and genuinely think it's justified. Young people and elders show no respect for each other, even deliberately trying to make the other more miserable. Chinese tourists are known for their insensitivity and lack of respect towards the country they're visiting, especially America and Japan. It is very ironic as tourists aren't allowed to disrespect the PRC regime yet the Chinese tourists disrespect other countries all the time. This can all be traced back to the CCP and their degeneration of human morals and decency.

Fighting for Material

Dramatic fightings over food, seats, or even trivial matters in public are common in PRC society, along with parents babying their child and protecting them even if they insult others and ruin other's property (caused by the One-Child Policy). It is everybody for themselves.

At buffets, Chinese people still nastily fight tooth and nail for food. And we're not talking about food giveaways so food shortage can't be an excuse for this behavior, we're talking about a feast where there's enough for everyone and the fights are resulting from solely wanting to gain over others. During Dragon Boat Festivals, women took the opportunity to steal and bag as many ingredients (meant for making a traditional snack for the community) as possible.

School System

The Chinese school system is very toxic. It's common for teachers often pick on students, and when the students can't take it anymore and commit suicide, the schools will try to cover it up and deny responsibility. Parents are always left unanswered, and the authorities cannot be trusted to be transparent. These incidents happen all across China, and seem to follow a pattern: student dies under mysterious circumstances, parents start asking questions, the authorities do the exact opposite of being transparent, people get outraged, and those in power kill protests and information.

Well-known examples are:

• At Xuchang No. 6 Middle School, a homeroom teacher surnamed Zhang (张) was continuously bullying 13-year old Wu Yijia (吴怡佳) for months. The bullying included frequent public insults, forcing her to stand as punishment, barring her from entering the classroom for an entire day, making her run laps in scorching 40 degree heat, and inciting other classmates to ostracize her. On 23 May 2025, after being forced to stand as punishment for three consecutive days, Wu Yijia jumped from the 16th floor of her apartment building and died. Wu's family ended up with the school's officials the next day and ended up in a heated argument, during which Zhang showed complete indifference and no remorse. The school but the student's death entirely on Wu's family, so the family protested at the school's entrance that evening. Wu's classmates shared the story on social media where it gained lots of traction. The next morning Wu's family returned, holding pictures of Wu Yijia and demanding accountability. Things soon escalated as angry students gathered in protest and threw flyers, smashed windows and wrote slogans like "blood debt must be repaid". The authorities soon got involved, and by the evening they have sealed off the main roads surrounding the school and sent in a unit to keep guard. Wu's father, pressured by local authorities, came out with a video saying that everything is handled and he wished people stopped talking about his daughter.
• At Pucheng Vocational Education Centre, early 2025, a 17 year old student died. The local authority claims that he fell to his death and ruled out criminality. But, people started to wonder if there's more to the story, and for good reason. The mother said she first heard about her son's death a little past 7 AM, but was taken to the opposite side of the school, where two teachers took turn monitoring her and didn't allow her to move freely until 4 PM when she was taken directly to the funeral home. When she finally saw her dead son, she noticed that he was neatly dressed and had no external injuries on his face or head, but had a lot of bruises under his neck. This is not how fall injuries work. She wanted to lift her son's clothes to see if there's any more injuries, but more than a dozen teachers stepped in to stop her from seeing and taking any photos. She was then driven out. All the mobile phones and watches of the children who knew about the situation were confiscated, and all the related photos were deleted. Unanswered questions turned to outrage, local people started rioting at the school. They threw rocks, paper money, and fire extinguishers. There were many clashes with the police, along with many arrests. Videos and livestreams of the protests were also being deleted.
• In December 2023, Shangqiu, a 14-year old student died. He had multiple bruises on his body, multiple holes in his arm suspected of being drilled by a screwdriver, some wounds exposing bones, and a twisted ankle. His cause of death was ruled as a suicide. This was obviously not true and 10,000 people came to protest.
• In December 2023, a 3rd grade student from Lingshan Elementary School in Hainan province died from multiple fractures and a dislocated arm. The school refused the boy's parents' requests to view security footage, claiming that the cameras were damaged.
• In 2021, a mother demanded transparency over her 17-year old son's death in front of Chengdu No. 49 High School after being told that he fell from a building. But the mother wasn't notified by the school until two hours later, when his son's body was at a funeral parlor, nor was she allowed to speak with his classmates and teachers. And school officials initially rejected her request to check footage through the security cameras.

Schools are also required by the government to force children to become a member Chinese Communist Party or its youth branches, swearing their lives to the Communist Party. Schools indoctrinate children with communist propaganda. Independent schools will be hunted down by the government.

Xenophobia

The CCP actively promotes Xenophobia among the Chinese population, especially the youth. The most notorious example of Xenophobia widespread among Chinese is the anti-Japanese sentiment. He uses the war crimes committed by Japan during WWII as an excuse to discriminate against Japanese people as a whole. Students were encouraged to step on the Japanese flag, and wave the red CCP flag against the Japanese ones (which is quite ironic, considering that the CCP barely fought in WWII). Constant xenophobic brainwashing has also caused several violent attacks against Japanese people. Here are some incidents related to anti-Japaneseism in China, many going viral on the Chinese internet:

• A Chinese person wore a Japanese team shirt in Olympics, and he was chased by a huge crowd shouting "traitor to China!" and the police came and made him take of the shirt.
• A hotel in PRC declined the entry of Japanese guests, despite their website saying "people from every country are allowed". Their excuse is "government rules". Many so-called Chinese " patriots" sent gifts to the hotel to show support for their Xenophobia.
• A young Japanese boy was killed in China, and those who brought flowers to pay tribute were shamed by the public.
• Chinese influencer travels to Japan and pees on the Yasukuni Shrine, then makes a quick return to China. The Yasukuni Shrine is a shrine that is dedicated to those who died in service of Japan, and includes 2,466,532 men, among those are 1,066 war criminals. This act could be justified if it wasn't for clout and pro-CCPism.

Quite ironically, the Chinese love the Russians, who has also committed genocide on the Chinese people.

The CCP and supporters usually claim that America is a racist country that hates black people, and China is the most tolerant. However, a black American basketball player, Sonny Weems, stepped out of a bus in China, only for the crowd to shout "n*gger! n*gger! get out of China!". A restaurant in Hunan province also displayed a digital sign that states that American, Japanese, Jews and animals cannot enter. Chinese internet also garnered fame to the outside world for the hazardous amounts of anti-black racism.

China Fakes Everything

The CCP had made the people corrupt, and fake products and equipments are everywhere in society. This problem is much, much worse in China than compared to equally technologically advanced areas, and it became normal for people to concern about life-threatening products on a daily basis. Cheating and scamming aren't considered bad by society, they're considered "being clever" or "doing smart business". Be it cutting corners or just outright fake things, it's all made out of greed (which the communist regime fostered). In this section we will be looking at some scandalous examples of everything in China that are faked (most of these were reported by Chinese people themselves).

• Baby Powder: Baby powders are faked and kills babies. Numerous cases like these happened in China and are not out of the ordinary.
• Chicken Feet: This delicious treat usually are soaked in chemicals to give it the white color.
• 'Fire Equipment: Many hoods marked as "fire resistant" are actually flammable.
• Frozen "Jumbo-Sized" Shrimp: They are usually soaked in unhealthy chemicals that retains water in the muscle that makes the shrimp look a lot bigger, and then they are frozen. When cooked, they shrink down half in size into a regular shrimp. They are marketed as having no additives and as jumbo-sized.
• Grapes: China's method of making grapes that can match the Japanese shine muscat grapes is to soak them into a bucket of chemicals while they are still on the tree.
• Peanut Oil: Some catches fire after a few flips in the pan. After the fire, a black substance left over looks like burnt sugar or some kind of other chemical mixture. Note that peanut oil ignition temperature is is about 850°F.
• Pig Ears: A lot of pig ears in China are fake. Real pig ears can't be easily torn apart, while the fake ones can, and the fake ones also look like rubber.
• Oil: Many cooking oils are fished right out of the gutter. This is known as "gutter oil", and is common in restaurants.

Chinese people like to buy imported food from the West because of this.

Being Sharp

A common characterization of the ideal individual in the PRC is one that is "sharp". The PRC Societal Model has taught the Chinese to be selfish (inherited from the policies of Communist Party), and will steal from buffets and safety shelters. These "smart people" as they call themselves will use every drop of their brain power to find some way to take advantage of whatever place they're targeting, and when they are caught they will never admit they are wrong and instead violently attack, trash the place, or threaten to sue. For example, some people were caught having stole bags of fish and meats and tried to sneak it past the counter at a buffet store, and when they're caught they still tried to talk out of it and blame the cashier. Thankfully it was all captured on camera. Another started to berate and threatened to sue a kind waiter telling him he can't eat all the free fruits (originally meant as side dishes of hot pot) when more people start coming in. The audacity, he should be thankful that the waiter allowed him to do so in the first place.

Another woman found stashes of potatoes and other foods in a room, which she recorded herself taking them and putting them in her car, saying that she'll feed her dogs with this food. The comments of the video told her that these foods were stored for times of emergency for the farmers, and she replied with "I love taking things from others". To these deranged people, this isn't stealing, it's "being smart" and "being sharp". The PRC crushed traditional values for revolutionary zeal, only to leave behind a population that out-capitalizes capitalists, but with none of the charity or shame.

Dating & Marriage

The modern term the Chinese use for "dating" or "falling in love" is 谈恋爱, or literally, discuss love. Even though it may not be directly connected, there are still some interesting parallels. Love, in terms of "talking" about it, is about material possessions, like house, cars, salary, work place etc., not things like personal interests or hobbies, nor a care for character and morality. The chase for material possessions in the PRC has been more severe in the common people than any point in Chinese history.

In many parks in large cities in China, there are many "dating fairs", where many people who are seeking marriage write out their "stats" on cardboard like resumes, and place them around for other seekers, many of which parents and grandparents, line up as if it's a Pokémon battle to shop for the best match for their kids. Lately, more women show up more than men, mostly women over 30, since they're considered "leftovers" in Chinese society's obsession with young women. The reality of China's toxic dating culture is for men to find a baby maker and for women to find a cash cow. These exchanges give off purely transactional vibes. It's less about connections, and more about cataloging assets, with meetings between men and women where the women only asks questions like "how much to you make" and "do you have (insert rich asset here)".

Many "traditional" Chinese parents only care about their child's money. They will only welcome their child's spouse as part of the family if they make a lot of money. Even when they treat their child with neglect, they will still demand money from their child, and if they don't send the amount they request they will be considered "traitorous" and such. (This is also partly because the parents to not understand the exhaustion and little pay of working in the cities. In their imagination, working in the cities is easy big monies.) This is in reality far from traditional, it instead is a representation of the deeply ingrained " Party Culture" in the older generations who grew up during the Cultural Revolution. Traditional Chinese speaks of wanting their child's and his/her spouse to have great morals and virtue, but these "traditionals" only want great money.

CCP immigrants

In the US, especially in New York, there are large concentrations of pro- CCP Chinese immigrants. Despite being physically in the US and enjoying the freedom and high quality of life, they still believe the ideology the CCP promotes and actively are tying to paint all Chinese immigrants as pro-CCP (this is not true at all, many escaped to the US from the CCP). While these hypocrites live comfortably in the US, they go around shouting "praise the CCP" and "down with the Taiwanese separatists".

Also in the US, many immigrants that are loyal to the CCP act like sleeper agents, and they preform things for the communist state on US soil such as creating viruses, trafficking children, spying on dissidents and growing weed.

Trivia

• Chinese beauty filters are really advanced, you can customize the details and everything, and they will not break when doing complex movements. 99% of Chinese influencers use a beauty filter. There is a famous woman who has a pet monkey, and when she used a beauty filter, the monkey was so shocked at the difference between the beauty filtered women on the screen and the real women, that it kept looking back and forth with its mouth wide open, and started hitting the screen.
• In China, internet censors are basically like a normal job, and most internet censors are just trying to make a living, making anywhere between 560 and 980 yuan a month.
• There have been many instances across China where people would haul one tank of fuel and then immediately haul a tank of cooking oil without washing the tank truck. This has been a problem for at least 20 years, and is causing cancer and other illnesses.
• Some people in China wear plastic bags because they can't afford winter clothes, but trees in China have been decorated with sweaters. This lead to a lot of the Chinese internet to joke, saying "man are worth less than trees". Probably because trees don't speak up against the government
• In China, garbage pickers (people collecting recyclables in the streets to sell just to get by) sometimes gets ticketed.
• 65% of the Chinese population (900 million people) are classified as low income.
• PRC has " internet addiction camps", which advocate themselves as something that would transform a child mentally and physically away from internet/ gaming addiction. But in reality, the camps are not effective, and it's just a cash grab. Plus, child abuse happens there, with reported cases of rape and killing.
• Many Chinese when in disastrous situations and get filmed, will shout "don't post it on the outside web" because they think it will be a "shame to China". For example when a Chinese EV exploded, the firefighters were confused to see a man chipping off the company's logo. For this reason, the many videos we see of the bad situations are in reality even more common since many don't get posted outside of the Great Firewall.
• 1 billion people in China live off of less than $300/month.
