Who must go?
Assad supporters in response to “Assad must go” aged like milk

Ba'athist Syria, officially the violent Syrian Arab Republic (SAR) was a country in the Middle East who was an embattled state, embroiled in a heinous war. He is a raging and burning ball of chaos, almost always angry and throwing around text walls in ALL CAPS, BOLDED, and COLOURED RED. Ba'athist Syria was suspended from the Arab League and OIC, and was one of the most popular destination for UN Peacekeeping programs.

Ba'athist Syria and his supporters thinks too highly of themselves and think they are completely innocent. But, every side of a war commits war crimes. Dispute this, he usually dismiss any criticism as “western propaganda”.

The name “Syria” historically referred to a wider region, broadly synonymous with the Levant, and known in Arabic as al-Sham. The modern state encompasses the sites of several ancient kingdoms and empires

History

Ba’athist Coup and Control

In 1963, Ba'athists launched a coup known as the March Revolution and seized power, ending the Second Syrian Republic. Now, the new Syria will either stand strong or fall, and this next year or so is his chance to show the world he won't give up.

After a bloodless coup d'état led by General Hafez al-Assad on 13 November 1970 (known as the “Corrective Movement”), Syria reformed himself.

Egypt wanted to retry another union with Syria with Libya involved, forming the Federation of Arab Republics in 1972. Allied with Egypt, Syria was later was one of the countries that had attacked Israel, the result of defeat in the war lead to Israel occupying some Syrian clay known as the Golan Heights from 1967 up to this day. Syria is still pissed off about it. The region is now disputed UN territory between the two, even if most countryballs had internationally recognized it for Syria. The federation disbanded in 1977 because Libya left.

Hafez al-Assad held elections, but they were not competitive. The Ba'ath Party held total control. His governance included significant state-led reforms that modernized parts of the economy and infrastructure, which some viewed positively. In the late 1990s, there were discussions about political reforms, but these were limited and did not constitute a true democratic process. Before his death, Hafez al-Assad did pave the way for his son, Bashar al-Assad, to succeed him, a move that maintained the family's grip on power rather than transitioning to a democratic system.

Syrian Civil War

In 2011, during the Arab Spring, there were protests against the nepotism, corruption, and authoritarianism of the Assad regime, which resulted in deadly crackdowns where thousands died. This tension caused Syriaball to erupt into a civil war between many rival factions, the major ones being the Kurdistani Forces, Syrian Government, and Syrian Rebels (initially pro-democracy, later become fragmented because of the rise of Islamist groups). Though many have exposed USA and Saudi Arabia of funding the democratic rebels. Regardless, USA and allies cannot into caring. The Government then warned the west of the threat of the Islamic State, which the west largely dismissed.

In 2013, the Jihadist terrorist group ISIS rose to power and gained big chunks of clay in Syria, pushing the Assad regime to a wall. But when all hope seemed lost for Assad, to big and powerful players came into play: Russia and Iran. Russia’s Air Force devastated rebel-controlled cities, and thousands of Iranian-backed Hezbollah fighters flocked to Syria to help.

Under the Obama and Clinton doctrines, the Islamic State sought to rule a caliphate in Syria if the Assad regime was defeated. But, Iran and Russia have made it clear that Assad is going nowhere. Huge stockpiles of chemical weapons and elements of the Al-Qaeda terrorist group posed regional threats. The Christians in Syria have also been slaughtered in the thousands after losing stability.

In 2017, Assad began to push back. With Russian and Iranian help, as well as Trump’s bombing campaign against ISIS, the Assadian regime had taken back most of his lost territory, but were not able to take back the northern parts, which some were protected by Türkiye and others were controlled by the Kurds.

A bunch of countries decided to intervene and it became the ground for a proxy war between Russia, USA and Türkiye who are each trying to gear Syria to their vision of his future. In April 2018, Syria supposedly used chemical weapons on his own citizens again. In response to this, USA, United Kingdom, France, and others launched combined strikes on Syria’s clay. This action resulted in escalated tensions between USA and Russia, the latter clearly stating not to launch those kinds of strikes on Syria. An emergency meeting between the two had to be called to ease the tension.

By 2019, large scale fighting has ended, and Syria’s economy was in shambles. 600,000+ people have died, and six and a half million Syrians became refugees across the world. Assad was unable to rebuild Syria’s economy because all the oil were in Kurdish hands. Unable to pay the army, most of them fled and those who remained had low pay and low morale. Corruption, trafficking, and bribes plagued Ba’athist Syria.

Between 2020 and 2024, the situation in Syria has stopped changing geopolitically, but lots of negotiations have been preformed, all going nowhere. And Assad’s closets allies, Russia and Iran, are distracted with other conflicts . This allowed the rebel forces to work things out and prepare for a final blow against the Assadian regime.

In November 2024, Syrian Rebels attacked again, capturing Aleppo and Northern Hama. Basher fled Damascus as it fell to the rebels, ending the Syrian Arab Republic in 8 December 2024.

    • Wow Syria, quite the tantrum! But let’s get some things straight. You’re talking about drone strikes like you haven’t been bombing your own people for years. And that ' Assad Must Go' curse? That’s cute. But, let’s be real, the only curse here is the one you’ve brought on yourself by brutalizing your own citizens and cozying up to Russia. As for Iraq, yeah, we’ve had our ups and downs, but at least they have a shot at democracy, unlike your stupid commie regime. Keep throwing these fits while your ‘friends’ drag you deeper into chaos. I’ve got bigger problems to deal with than your empty threats. Death to America? I’ve heard that one many times before — yet, here I am, still standing. So stop your bullsh*t, you’re not a sigma wolf.
    • YUO THINK YUO CAN TALK DOWN TO ME, YANKEE? YOU'RE OF DELUSIONAL! YOUR ‘DEMOCRACY’ IS A LIE, AND EVERYONE IS KNOWS IT! RUSSIA WILL DESTROY YOU, JUST WAIT! YOU’RE FINISHED, AMERICA! I’LL SEE YOUR EMPIRE BURN!!!

  • Liechtenstein - Stupid little joke of a micro nation, he and Qatar are pushing an agenda to investigate my "war crimes" which totally don’t exist.
  • Türkiye - REMOVE KEBAB! STOP FUNDING THE REBELS!
  • Donald Trump - WHY DID YUO RECOGNIZE THE GOLAN HEIGHTS AS ISRAELI CLAY?! Ah… I have my own civil war to deal with, I will rant at yuo later on.
