Barbados is an island country located in the ocean. Barbados's population is predominantly of African ancestry. While he is technically an
Atlantic island, Barbados is closely associated with the
Caribbean Sea and is ranked as one of its leading tourist destinations.
History
Barbados gained independence in the 1960s. On November 30th, 2021, fifty-five years after independence, Barbados cut ties with the British royal family for their first president
Dame Sandra Mason.
Nowadays, Barbados is an Anglophone island country in the
Antilles. He also wants to qualify for the
FIFA World Cup, a well-known fact is that Barbados defeated
Costa Rica 2-1 in
FIFA World Cup Qualification in 2002. Barbados also tied with
Northern Ireland 1-1 at home in 2004.
Barbados is now a republic, having “thrown out” the
monarchy in November 2021 after he was announced in 2020 that he would become a
republic.
