“”BAGUETTE *boink*
|
| — |
France, or the French Fifth Republic, is a country located in Europe. She is the mother of
EU and the spouse of
Germany. She is usually cultured, but will become very barbaric at certain times. France often dreams about getting her
Napoleonic Empire back. She really likes to eat baguette, so much that she have vending machines for them. She is also is likings to eat frogs and snails. She is infamous and having worst reputation for her snobbery.
She is known for making best pastries, including croissant, madeline, macaroni, and baguette.
She is an emotional, friendly and angry countryball.
Histoire (History)
After WWII, France was restored. But now France is at war with
Algeria, which was her colony. Due to instability, France shifted from the
Fourth Republic to the
Fifth Republic. But in the end, France still lost the war and Algeria (which was very embarrassing for France) was granted independence, marking the beginning of the end of France’s
major colonial empire.
Between 1950 and 1975, France experienced a major economic boom. Salaries and the standard of living, which have been mostly destroyed in WWII, became one of the world’s highest. France continues to focus on economic growth, and maintaining good relations with her neighbors.
After the 1950s, the traditional foundations of French society changed: the number of
peasant farmers plummeted, old industries decayed, jobs in the service sector and high-technology industries grew dramatically, and the French came to enjoy the benefits of mass culture and widespread
consumerism.
On 23 November 1965, France launched her first satellite, Astérix, into space. Astérix continues to orbit Earth as of 2023 and is expected to remain in orbit for centuries.
In May 1968, nine million workers started to protest and riot, many occupying their factories and workplaces. These protest were led and infiltrated by left-wing organizations that want a complete overhaul of French traditions.
France co-founded the
European Union in 1993.
In 2015, France’s
capital got attacked by
violent Jihadists. This attack was coordinated and aimed to cause as much as destruction as possible. This attack was very brutal, and people grieved with France all over the world, including
Obama and
Putin.
On April 15, 2019, a catastrophic fire engulfed the Notre-Dame Cathedral in
Paris, the capital of France.
In 2023, French citizens went on strike after the government proposed increasing the retirement age from 62 to 64. Starting in 16 January 2024, a bunch of agricultural and farmer groups unionized to protest and block roads. This event is still ongoing as of July 2024. Also in 2024 France hosted the
Olympic Games, where somehow a group of
people on the spectrum decided to mock
Jesus, putting a double standard.
In 2024, France’s government is collapsed, the parliament is deadlocked, had 4 prime ministers in one year, and have a budgetary crisis. This put the current Fifth Republic’s government system of a strain, and France might need to transition into a Sixth Republic soon.
Architecture Rurale (Rural Architecture)
French farmhouses are entirely products of the soil, built of stone, clay or wood, depending on what materials are found locally. As the topography changes so does the architecture, from the steeply-sloped roofs covered in flat tiles in the north to the broad canal-tiled roofs of the south. Despite this rich regional diversity, French farmhouses fall into three basic categories: the maison bloc, where house and outbuildings share the same roof; the high house, with living quarters upstairs and livestock or wine cellar below; and courtyard farm-steads, their buildings set around a central court.

- Even though France almost conquered the entirety of Europe in the
Napoleonic era, everyone forgets about it and continues to mock France for surrendering in WW2. - French toast is actually not invented in France, but in
Rome as a recipe called "pan dulcis" in a 4th-century cookbook. The name "French toast" was applied to the dish later in
America, partly due to the dish's popularity among French immigrants there. The dish is known as "pain perdu"" or "lost bread" in
French, referencing its use to revive stale bread and avoid waste.
